The present educational system of India tends to make youth unemployable. Efforts have been taken to streamline the vocational stream at the plus 2 stage in the School Education. Accordingly special courses/programmes have to be introduced in Teacher Education. Also to improve self-employability and to meet the demands of the society there is need for the women teacher trainees to be equipped with one or two certificate courses apart from their degrees with general subjects, optional and electives.
