O God, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ has shown us how great is Thy love for children and who has taught us through the life of thy servant Christopher, that those who seek Thee faithfully will find their joy in thee, send down Thy blessing, we beseech Thee, on all members of our college. Grant to all those who have gone forth from this college and to those who teach, learn or serve within its walls, the sense that we are Thy workmen incapable of slovenliness and insincerity. May we do our work with intelligence and sympathy, and with the courage and energy that never despair. When we are in difficulties be Thou our Counselor, when we are lonely be Thou our Friend, from our besetting sins be Thou our Saviour, at every parting of the ways be Thou our sole Leader. In our work, do Thou sustain us, with Thy Holy spirit inspire us that we, not being disobedient to Thy heavenly vision, may offer our lives as acceptable sacrifice laid upon Thine altar. We ask this through Him who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, even our Saviour Jesus Christ our Lord.
